This Arts and Crafts style, Shaker-inspired piece was designed with simplicity and sophistication in mind, making the most of beautiful Figured Black Walnut. The artist has worked the curves of the piece with the natural curves of the especially curly Walnut grain. The interior of the cabinet is African Mahogany with its light amber color, contrasting with the deep colors of the Black Walnut. It currently has two adjustable shelves, but could easily be fitted with a wine rack if desired. The piece features a solid poplar dovetailed drawer with hidden under mount ball bearing drawer slides and a gentle soft-close feature. The piece is hand rubbed with multiple layers of oil polyurethane to highlight the figure of the wood and provide maximum protection.
