This custom designed Dining Chair is built from Purple Heart wood reclaimed from benches at the Capitol Building in Madison, Wisconsin, in addition to Cherry and Birdseye Maple. The piece also features Walnut plugs at the main mortise and tenon joinery. Multiple layers of polyurethane oil have been wiped on to bring out the figure of the wood and provide excellent protection. A topping of paste wax has been rubbed in to create a silky smooth finish.
