The frame of the Ginkgo Branch Mirror is handcrafted in a proprietary technique from cast architectural gypsum cement with natural shellac and metallic pigments. The artist uses real ginkgo leaves to cast unique botanical shapes on each individual frame. The intricate pattern of natural leaves makes for a beautiful texture on this frame, which can be created in a variety of colors - see chart in picture #3.

This collection was created to bridge sculpture with functional craftsmanship. The minutely detailed frames are created entirely by hand using botanical or abstract themes in contemporary, transitional or traditional styles.

Fiber-reinforced gypsum cement as the main material provides a structurally strong, relatively light mirror frame. Each frame is hand-detailed and finished with four to six layers of metallic pigment.
