This cabinet was designed to support a HDTV and contain the A/V components in the space below. The back has two 1-inch slots at the top and bottom to allow for air movement for cooling. The two internal shelves are offset by 1 inch from the back forward to provide a gap for increasing the air flow. The piece was created using three different species of wood. Makore, Nara, and Satinwood are used for the 630 lozenges on the top and each door contains 125 lozenges. Makore is use for the legs, frame and door. Satinwood is used for the inlay along with a thin strip of black dyed wood. The illusion of a 3D square is caused by the use of different woods, the grain of each is flowing in the same direction. The price shown above reflects the materials and specifications of this particular piece and may vary based on custom dimensions as well as the figure, character and availability of selected woods.
