It's that time of year when the hardwoods play catch-up to the evergreen spruce and fir and pine. A doe watches warily from the edge of the clearing while her fawn runs headlong into the sunlight. This beautiful glasscape is composed of layers of delicately cut art glass fired in a kiln, and in some cases sandblasted. The panels are inserted into individually cut grooves in the hardwood base.
Like all the glasscapes by these artists, this sculpture is illuminated day or night by a light recessed into the rear of the hardwood base. The light is reflected off the wall behind the glasscape.
