Solid cherry with wenge accents. Mortise and tenon joinery, pegged construction, dovetailed drawers (see image #3). Finish: two coats of lacquer.
The design is inspired by the simple furniture created by the Shakers in 17th and 18th centuries. The artist relies on the traditional knowledge of the craftsmen from long ago combined with the modern innovations to create unique furniture that's both beautiful and functional.
